J/ApJS/156/227 Radial velocities of 16 Galactic Cepheids (Barnes+, 2005) ================================================================================ Radial velocities of Galactic Cepheids. Barnes III T.G., Jeffery E.J., Montemayor T.J., Skillen I. =2005ApJS..156..227B (SIMBAD/NED BibCode) ================================================================================ ADC_Keywords: Stars, variable ; Radial velocities Keywords: binaries: spectroscopic - Cepheids - stars: fundamental parameters Abstract: We report 490 radial velocities for 16 Galactic Cepheid variables. The typical uncertainty of a single velocity is {+/-}0.40km/s. Comparison with published velocities shows excellent agreement. Two of the Cepheids (Z Lac, S Sge) are known binaries and exhibit orbital velocity changes in our observing interval. Description: Observations were made using the Sandiford Echelle Spectrometer mounted at the f/13.5 Cassegrain focus of the 2.1m telescope at McDonald Observatory. The data were acquired over a period of 2 years: 1995 August 17-1997 September 18. Thirty-nine nights produced usable Cepheid velocities.
